FAFSA Simplification Act
Changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are on the horizon for the 2024-2025 school year. The FAFSA Simplification Act has been passed by Congress. This Act significantly changes the processes and systems used to determine federal student aid eligibility and is intended to make the FAFSA easier for students and families to complete.
Fairfield University’s Student Financial Aid Office will update this webpage with the most current information, enabling us to promptly share the latest updates with our students, families, and campus community.

Fairfield in Focus
Celebrate your admission with your future classmates and learn all there is to know about the Fairfield experience during Fairfield in Focus, our annual admitted students day. Take a campus tour, hear about a typical day in class from your professors, snap your first Stag selfie in our photo booth, and explore our 100-plus clubs and student services at our Student Life Fair. Whether it’s your first time visiting campus or your third, you’re sure to discover something new.
Admitted students and families of the incoming class will have two opportunities to attend Fairfield in Focus on Sunday, April 2, 2023, and Saturday, April 15, 2023. Be sure to register in advance for the date the works best for you at the links below.

Join us on Sunday, April 2 or Saturday, April 15 for an open house for admitted students.
Campus Visits for Arts and Sciences Students
Admitted students interested in studying the arts and/or sciences at Fairfield are invited to join us for a College of Arts and Sciences-specific information session scheduled on select days throughout the spring semester.
Faculty Student Research
The College of Arts and Sciences empowers and encourages undergraduate students from all disciplines to conduct innovative, in-depth, and collaborative research under the guidance and encouragement of faculty experts and staff. Each year, more than 300 faculty-student research projects are conducted in the areas of STEM, the humanities, arts, and social sciences, more than half of which are presented at national scholarly meetings and/or published in professional journals and manuscripts.

Fairfield StartUp Showcase
A signature Dolan School event, Fairfield StartUp is a yearlong, “Shark Tank” style entrepreneurship competition where students have the opportunity to pitch their original business ideas to a panel of investors and compete for seed money. In addition to the potential of receiving funding, students also learn how to develop a business plan and gain valuable entrepreneurship and networking experience from successful alumni.

Join us on Sunday, April 2 or Saturday, April 15 for a virtual open house for admitted engineering students. The session will begin at 11:00 a.m. and feature a greeting from Mark R. Nemec, PhD, President, a division overview from a member of the dean's office, and a student panel.

Students interested in studying engineering at Fairfield are invited to join us for an engineering-specific information session scheduled on select dates throughout the spring semester.
